THE BODY REMEMBERS: This is a compilation of black and white images taken recently and during my Covid illness and recovery. All were taken using an iPhone. The recent photos were created by using the iPhone’s portrait setting: high key light mono and stage light mono. High key light mono produced a white background and stage light mono produced a black background with a spotlight effect. They look grainy and sometimes blurry. I used my own voice for narration to accompany the images. Created for educational purposes.
THE SEA OF ASHES: This video poem is a compilation of photos taken at driftwood boneyard beaches in Amelia Island, FL and Jekyll Island, GA, August 2025. The words of the poem were written while walking through an art exhibit at the SCAD Museum in Savannah, GA: Michi Meko’s “So Black and So Blue.” Created for educational purposes. Concept: Death
